HostPapa’s Black Friday sale starts on 9 November 2026, with shared hosting from $1.25 a month. That’s one of the lowest prices the Canadian host has offered, and it’s lower than last year’s $1.45.
It’s a real saving. It’s also a first term price, and HostPapa’s renewal rates are much higher than its sale rates. This post covers the dates, every deal, what you’ll pay once the first term ends, and which plan gives you the most for your money.
When Is the HostPapa Black Friday Sale?
The sale runs from 9 November to 7 December 2026. That’s a day earlier than last year, when it started on 10 November, but it also ends sooner: the 2025 sale ran until 16 December.
Until 9 November, HostPapa’s normal prices apply. If you’re planning to switch hosts or start a new site this winter, it’s worth waiting a few days.
What’s on Sale
Almost every hosting type gets a discount. These are HostPapa’s own figures for the 2026 sale:
| Hosting type | Discount | Black Friday price |
|---|---|---|
| Shared and WordPress hosting | Up to 90% off | From $1.25/mo |
| Managed WordPress | Up to 33% off | From $9.95/mo |
| VPS | Up to 70% off | From $4.45/mo |
| Dedicated servers | Up to 20% off | From $47.96/mo |
The “up to” figures are measured against HostPapa’s monthly prices, and the lowest prices usually need the longest term. For shared hosting, that’s normally three years paid upfront.
STARTS 9 NOVEMBER
HostPapa Black Friday: from $1.25/mo
Runs 9 November to 7 December. Until then, normal prices apply. Renews at $8.99/mo on Essentials after the first three years.

What You’ll Pay After the Sale
This is the part most deal pages leave out. Once your first term ends, your plan renews at HostPapa’s regular rate, not the sale price. These were the shared hosting prices when our HostPapa review was last checked:
| Plan | Normal intro price | Renewal, 3 year term | Renewal, monthly |
|---|---|---|---|
| Essentials | $2.95/mo | $8.99/mo | $12.99/mo |
| Growth | $5.95/mo | $13.99/mo | $17.99/mo |
| Premium | $6.95/mo | $19.99/mo | $24.99/mo |
| Elite | $9.95/mo | $27.99/mo | $30.99/mo |
To put that in numbers: three years of Essentials at $1.25 a month comes to $45, against about $106 at the normal intro price. That’s a saving of around $61. After those three years, the same plan costs $8.99 a month if you renew for another three years, or $323.64 in total. That’s still a fair price for cPanel hosting, but it’s seven times the sale price, so budget for it now rather than being surprised in 2029.
Renewal jumps like this are common across budget hosting. Our guide to why renewal prices are higher than advertised explains why.
Which Plan Should You Choose?
The cheapest plan isn’t always the best deal. Here’s how the shared plans compare:
- Essentials: one website, 25 GB of NVMe storage and two email addresses. It leaves out the Cloudflare CDN and staging, so it’s best for a simple personal site or a single page for a small business
- Growth: five websites, 100 GB of storage, ten email addresses, the CDN, staging and extra malware protection. For most people, this is the plan to get on Black Friday
- Premium: unlimited websites, 200 GB of storage and a premium SSL certificate. Worth it if you run several sites
- Elite: unmetered storage and the most server resources. Only needed for busy sites
If you run WordPress and don’t want to manage updates yourself, the managed WordPress plans from $9.95 a month are the other deal worth a look. Developers who need root access can pick up a VPS from $4.45 a month.
What’s Included on Every Plan
Every shared plan comes with:
- cPanel, the most widely used hosting control panel
- CloudLinux, which keeps other accounts on the server from slowing your site down
- A free domain on yearly plans and free SSL certificates
- Free migration of your existing site
- A choice of data centres in Canada, the US and Amsterdam
- A 30 day money back guarantee
Is the HostPapa Black Friday Deal Worth It?
For a new site, a small business or anyone who wants cPanel and Canadian hosting, yes. At $1.25 a month, the first three years are hard to beat, and HostPapa’s free onboarding help is useful if you’re new to hosting. It scores 4.3 out of 5 in our full HostPapa review.
It’s less of a deal if low long term costs matter more to you than the first term price. The renewal rates are well above hosts that keep their price the same every year, and shared hosting doesn’t use LiteSpeed, which some faster budget hosts offer.

Common Questions About HostPapa Black Friday
When does the HostPapa Black Friday sale start?
The sale starts on 9 November 2026 and ends on 7 December 2026. Before 9 November, the normal intro prices apply.
Does the $1.25 price apply when I renew?
No. The sale price covers your first term only. After that, your plan renews at HostPapa’s regular rate, which for Essentials is $8.99 a month on a three year term.
Do I need to sign up for three years to get the lowest price?
Usually, yes. The lowest prices on shared hosting are tied to the longest term, paid upfront. Shorter terms are available at a higher monthly price, so check the total in your cart before you pay.
Is there a money back guarantee on Black Friday deals?
Yes. Shared and WordPress hosting come with HostPapa’s 30 day money back guarantee. Domain registration fees aren’t refundable.
Can existing HostPapa customers get the Black Friday price?
Deals like this are usually for new customers. If you already host with HostPapa, ask its support team whether any discount applies to upgrades or renewals.
